South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce
In 2004, some very business-minded individuals realized that having a Chamber of Commerce is vital to growing and sustaining a healthy business community. Hence, the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce was founded.
Having grown up in nearby Temple City, Samuel B. Ledwitz, the President and Managing Partner of Bezaire, Ledwitz and Associates, has spent much time enjoying all that South Pasadena offered.
Not far from the Pasadena office of The Law Firm of Bezaire, Ledwitz and Associates is the city of South Pasadena. Incorporating in 1888, South Pasadena is one of the first independent cities in Los Angeles County, along with being a wonderful community of old Victorian and craftsman houses filled with growing families.
South Pasadena’s business district, which hovers around Mission Street and Fair Oaks Avenue, is actually a part of Historic U.S. Route 66 (“Get your kicks on Route 66!!!”). The district is also home to several old-time businesses, such as the Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain, where you can still get a soda or a chocolate malt the old-fashioned way. Samuel Ledwitz, founding partner of the firm, often did this growing up, usually indulging with a chocolate shake
Another historical business is the Rialto Theater. The Rialto is one of the last remaining single-screen movie theaters in the country. In fact, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places back in 1978 after nearly finding the wrecking ball that year. In fact, back in the day the theater showed a revival of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” every weekend (complete with audience participation), which is something Sam would attend and get a laugh at from time to time.
One tradition in South Pasadena is attending the Farmer’s Market on Mission every Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. This is a place where Sam’s family would buy fresh fruits and vegetables once or twice or monthly.
In addition, every year on the first Saturday of December, the South Pasadena Booster Club hosts its 5K/10K run around the city and known as the “Tiger Run,” in keeping with the high school’s mascot. There is also a 300-meter run for kids 10 and under.

Keeping Track of Trust Assets
When someone passes away, one of the first things a Trustee need to do is to find out what assets are in the trust, which need to be put into the trust, and which have direct beneficiary designations. Most estate plans have an inventory sheet where all the trust assets are listed, but most people ignore it, or the inventory in it gets outdated over time.
The best place to start is by collecting the deceased person’s mail.

How the ERC can help keep businesses on track financially
It’s no secret that the past few years have been rough for most business owners. But just because the pandemic is just about in the rear-view mirror, that doesn’t mean financial help for businesses is no longer available.
Longtime estate planning attorney Samuel B. Ledwitz, who also works with dozens of small business owners, said the employee retention credit — or ERC — can still help businesses get back — or stay — on fiscal track.
